Fasig-Tipton has catalogued 185 entries for The Gulfstream Sale of Selected Two-Year-Olds in Training, to be held on Wednesday, March 27, in the racetrack’s walking ring. The sale will begin at 2 pm.
Tim Cone served as Fasig-Tipton president from 1988-91.
Following two days of strong trade, the Kentucky Winter Mixed sale closed on a high note Tuesday when the session topper – and the second highest-priced horse in the sale – La Manta Gris, a stakes placed daughter of Lemon Drop Kid, topped the session when sold for $285,000 as the last horse through the ring.
Though the day went from unseasonably warm and sunny to pouring rain, the action was consistent in the Fasig-Tipton sales pavilion in Lexington, KY on Monday. Accomplished racemares, promising broodmares, established sires, and newcomers proved equitably popular on the day, representing a healthy mix among the sale’s top prices and helping to establish across the board increases over the first session of this sale last year.
Fasig-Tipton has catalogued an additional three entries for its 2019 Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale supplemental catalogue. These entries may now be viewed online and in the equineline catalogue app. The new entries are catalogued as hips 529-531.
